The 2010 Cruise the Narrows car show will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010, from 9:00am-3:00pm at the Uptown Plaza in Gig Harbor. This event is perfect for new club members, and a great way to meet other club members in a relaxed social environment.

Plan on attending this car show in Gig Harbor if you enjoy showing your car, or if you enjoy viewing other cars. This car show allows all years, makes, and models, so there are quite a variety of cars attending this show. In 2009 this event had over 250 cars, including domestic as well as imports, and perfect weather. The venue for this event, Uptown Plaza, is one of the best venues for any car show in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

The show runs from 9am – 3pm and the entry fee is $15 at the gate (no pre-registration required). The location has restaurants, shopping and lots of parking. Event information can be found at: www.gigharborcruisers.org.

There is no pre-arranged group parking so for Audi Club Northwest members to park as a group, we need to arrive as a group. The earlier we arrive the better chance we have of parking together.

King county members can meet at The Rock Wood Fired Pizza, 34817 Enchanted Parkway South, Federal Way. We will meet at 7:45 am at the Rock and depart as a group by 8:00 am. Take I-5 South, Exit 142B to Hwy 18 West. Take Hwy 18 West about 1 block (first light) and turn left on Enchanted Parkway. You will see the Rock on your right just after the turn. Look for Mark Yonker inside a Bright Yellow Hyundai Tiburon.

Pierce county members can meet at the event venue, Uptown Plaza, 4735 Point Fosdick Drive in Gig Harbor about 8:20 am and pull off to the side of the entry gate until the group from King County arrives. Take Highway 16 to the Olympic Dr NW exit (exit 10). Turn left onto Olympic Drive. Go one block south to Point Fosdick Drive, and turn left. Go about 1/4 mile on Point Fosdick Drive until you see the Uptown Plaza on your left. Look for the Yellow Hyundai leading the King County group, and we will all enter together.

Any members who may run late can meet at the event venue. We will hold a few extra parking spaces once inside.

If you plan on attending bring some chairs and perhaps a cooler with cold drinks, and maybe an umbrella or pop-up cover. In 2009 the weather was sunny and almost 80 degrees, and the parking area is pavement, so the shade provided by cover or umbrella was a benefit.
