The Audi Club Northeast Chapter is pleased to announce our Third Annual “NEQ Holiday Social” in NYC.  Please mark your calendars for Saturday, December 8th, 2012.  We welcome old friends and especially look forward to extending a warm welcome to any new members who join us for another fun and exciting event in New York City.

The festivities will begin on Saturday, December 8th, at Audi Manhattan’s brand new facility at 800 11th Avenue at 55th Street, from 2:30-5:30 PM. This incredible location, on the West Side of Manhattan, is where Audi displays and sells their finest automobiles.  We were very fortunate to secure the services of Mark Fahrer, who’s company catered our last two events at the Audi Forum.  This year he is working with his mixologist to come up with some specialty cocktails designed especially for NEQ.  Look forward to enjoying The Carburetor, The R8, The Crankshaft and The Watkins Glen and his delicious appetizers while socializing with old and new friends. There will also be very exciting prizes and offers available at this event only.  Do not miss out!  Last year was a full house.

Audi Manhattan has very graciously offered us the use of their brand new, state of the art facility to host our party this year as the Audi forum sadly closed this past August.  We are very grateful for their generosity. Tom Seifert, the General Manager at Audi Manhattan, will make free parking available at their facility for the first six people who register and drive to the event. Please remember to support Audi Manhattan when it comes time to order your next Audi.

Following the Social, we will gather for a World Yacht dinner cruise around the southern tip of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.  The cruise will depart from Pier 81, located at 41st Street and 12th Avenue.  Parking is available on the pier for a flat rate of $35.  If weather permits, the pier is a 15-minute walk along the Hudson River from the dealership, and will take us past the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, the Growler Submarine, the BA Concorde and the Enterprise Space Shuttle.  Boarding time for the cruise is from 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM.  Our ship will depart promptly at 7:00 PM.  This is a four-course, sit-down, white-tablecloth dinner, and there is a dress code: business casual or festive, jackets suggested for gentlemen, no jeans or sneakers please.

For those staying in NYC or close by, on Sunday morning, from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, we are planning a private guided tour of Central Park with the Central Park Conservancy. They are a private group responsible for the care and upkeep of the 700+ acre park, located in the center of Manhattan.  The tour will be limited to 25 participants.

As in our past events, NEQ has made arrangements with  The Gotham Hotel on 46th Street to offer special rates (25-40% off) for a Fri/Sat/Sun stay, or any combination of day or days, for those who may wish to make a real holiday at this festive time.  For information on booking the hotel at the NEQ rate, click here.

Due to seating limitations on the ship and Public Assembly limitations at the dealership, this event will be strictly limited to 100 people at Audi Manhattan and 80 people for the dinner cruise, so please sign up quickly to reserve your space.  Attendance is not required at both venues; you may sign up for each independently of the other, if you choose or need to.
