The Audi Club Northeast is hosting a Performance Driving Event at the scenic Lime Rock Park racetrack on Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, 2013. The event will include two run groups for students and one for instructors. The first group will consist of novice and intermediate students and the second of advanced and expert students.
Classroom and track time will be combined to give students of every skill level the opportunity to practice what they learned under the guidance of an experienced NEQ instructor strapped in the passenger seat. Racing legend and long time NEQ friend Rick Pocock will teach the classroom.
On Friday the NEQ is proud to host our Veterans as part of the Wounded Warrior program for rides on the track with instructors and for lunch, thanks to the efforts and dedication of Dennis Cohan and other NEQ members who have served our Country and continue to serve.
A banquet will be held at the Interlaken Inn on Friday evening.
The 1.56 miles Lime Rock Park course rewards smooth driving with challenging combinations of changing radius turns, elevations, and fast straights. Course veterans and first timers alike end each day with an ear to ear grin – rain or shine! We are pleased to have Hoffman Audi of New London sponsoring of the event.
